Viola, Domenico

Viola, Domenico a Neapolitan painter of the 17th century, was a disciple and imitator of the cavalier Mattia Preti. He executed some works of a mediocre grade for the churches and collections. He is said to have died about 1696. See Spooner, Biog. Hist. of the Fine Arts, s.v.
