Simmons, John C

Simmons, John C., a minister of the Methodist Episcopal Church, South, was born in Jackson County, Ga., in 1806. In 1830 he was received on trial into the Georgia Conference, and labored thirty-eight years, most of the time as presiding elder. He died in 1868. See Minutes of Ann. Conf. of M.E.
