Machault, Jean-baptiste De

Machault, Jean-Baptiste de a French scholar and Jesuit, nephew of the foregoing, was born at Parl in 1591. He taught rhetoric at Paris, and directed successively the colleges of Rouen and Nevers. He died at Pontoise May 22, 1640. His works are, among others, S. Anselmi Cantuariensis archiep. de Felicitate Sanctorumr Dissertatio, ex scriptore Eadinero Anglo, canon. regulari (Paris, 1639, 8vo): — Histoire des eveques d'Evr-eux: — Gesta a Soc.
