Elionseus

Elionse'us (Ε᾿λιωναῖος, doubtless a Graecized form of Elioenai), a high-priest of the Jews, who succeeded Matthias, son of Ananus (A.D. 42), and was the next year succeeded by Simon Cantheras (Josephus, Ant. 19:8, 1). SEE HIGH- PRIEST.
