Elionas

Elio'nas the name of two men in the Apocrypha.

1. (Ε᾿λιωνάς v.r. Ε᾿λιωναϊvς, Vulg. omits.) One of the sons of "Phaisur," who divorced his Gentile wife after the exile (1 Esdras 9:22); evidently the ELIOENAI SEE ELIOENAI (q.v.) of the Hebrews text (Ezr 10:22).

2. (Ε᾿λιωνάς, Vulg. Noneas.) One of the sons of "Annas," who did the same (1 Esd. 9:32); doubtless the ELIEZER SEE ELIEZER (q.v.) of the Hebrews text (Ezr 10:31).
