Colburn, Samuel S.

a minister in the Methodist Episcopal Church South, was born in Greene County, Tenn., May 1,1807. He removed to Lafayette County, Missouri, in 1831, was converted in 1832, licensed to preach in 1833, and in 1835 entered the Missouri Conference, laboring therein continuously until 1859, when he became superannuated; but still continued to preach, as health permitted, until his death, August 26, 1875.
