Clouston, Charles, LL.D., a Scotch clergyman, studied at Edinburgh University; was licensed to preach in 1821, and ordained in 1826, as assistant to his father, whom he succeeded at Sandwick and Stromness in 1832. There is no record of his death. Dr. Clonston published, The Church in Orkney (1844): — Address to Orkneymen (1845): — Account of the Parish and Observations on the County; and wrote tile account of Orkney in the Guide to the Highlands.
