Chamorro, Juan
Chamorro, Juan a Spanish historical painter, studied under Herrera the elder. From 1669 to 1673 he was president of the Academy of Seville. His principal works were in the Convent of Mercy at Seville. They represent subjects from the life of the Virgin, and the Four Doctors of the Church. See Spooner, Biog.
