Cairotte, Paolo Maurizio

Cairotte, Paolo Maurizio an Italian prelate, was born at Turin in 1726. In 1761 he was called, contrary to his wishes, to the episcopal see of Asti. He reformed the customs of the clergy, and died in 1786. He wrote Instruction a la Jeunesse Ecclesiastique (1775). See Hoefer, Nouv. Biog. Generale, s.v.
