Boring, Isaac

Boring, Isaac a minister in the Methodist Episcopal Church South, was born in Jackson County, Ga., of pious parents, who brought him to Christ in his youth. In 1824 he was licensed to preach and admitted into the South Carolinas Conference. He entered on his work with thorough devotion, and thus continued, with but one year's intermission as superannuate, till the close of his life, in 1851. Mr, Boring was a man of high moral standing, and was greatly beloved by all. See Minutes of Annual Conferences of the M. E. Church South, 1851, p. 305.
