Blundon, William

Blundon, William, an English minister of the Society of Friends, was born in 1656, in the parish of Kingsclear, Southampton Co. At twenty-eight years of age he left the Episcopal Church and attended a meeting of Presbyterians, but at length found spiritual comfort in a Quaker meeting. About 1710 he first began speaking "as the spirit gave him utterance," and for many years he was a faithful, earnest minister of the Gospel. He died Jan. 19, 1740. See Piety Promoted, 2, 340-344. (J.
