Binns, Joseph a minister of the Society of Friends, was born in London in 1774. In early life he was exposed to many temptations, and yielded at times to their influence. During the greater part of his life humility and love were conspicuous in his demeanor. While he had many peculiarities, and some faults, there is good reason to believe that he sought to "adorn the doctrine of our Saviour in all things." He died Feb. 19, 1836.
