Binns, Henry an English Quaker minister, was born at Sunderland, Jan. 19, 1810. He began his ministerial labors when about fifty-five years of age. In 1865 he removed to Croydon, where. a wider field of usefulness was opened up to him. "He often felt attracted in Gospel love to pay pastoral visits in various parts of Great Britain; and in 1869 he united with William Robinson in a visit of this character to some parts of the United States, embracing Iowa, Minnesota, and Wisconsin, and to Canada."
