Andrew, St., Festival Of This was anciently placed on the same level as the feast of St. Peter himself (Krazer, De Liturgiis, p. 529). His natal day is Nov. 30. The hymn Nunc Andrece solemnia for his festival is attributed to the Venerable Bede. Jerome's martyrology places his translation on Sept. 3, but others on May 9 or Feb. 5.
