A'bi (Heb. Abi', אֲבַי, my father, or rather father of SEE ABI-; Sept. 'Αβί, Vulg. Abi), a shortened form (comp. 2Ch 29:1) of ABIJAH SEE ABIJAH (q.v.), the name of the mother of King Hezekiah (2Ki 18:2, where the full form is also read in some MSS.).
