Weigel, Christopher

Weigel, Christopher a German engraver, was born at Redwitz, in Bohemia, in 1654. After visiting various German cities, he settled in Nuremberg, where he died in 1725. His principal work was a set of Bible plates engraved from his own designs, entitled Sacra Scriptuat Loquens in Imaginibus, etc., published in 1690. They were executed with the graver.
