Weber, Joseph

Weber, Joseph a Roman Catholic theologian of Germany, was born Sept. 23,1753, at Rhain, in Bavaria. In 1776 he received holy orders; in 1779 he was appointed lecturer on canon law and catechetics at the seminary in Pfaffenhausen; in 1781 he was made professor of philosophical sciences at Dillingen; and in 1800 he was made doctor of divinity. In 1826 he was appointed cathedral dean and general vicar at Augsburg, where he died, Feb. 14,1831.
