Vinton, John Adams

Vinton, John Adams a Congregational minister, was born in Boston, Mass., Feb. 5, 1801. He graduated at Dartmouth College in 1828, and at Andover Theological Seminary in 1831. He preached for several churches in Maine, Vermont, and Massachusetts, from 1832 to 1852. He was the author of the Vinton Memorial (Boston, 1858): —The Giles Memorial (1864): — The Sampson Family in America (1864): —and edited a reprint of Deborah Sampson's Female Review (1866); besides contributing to a number of religious and literary periodicals.
