Timberlake, John W.

a minister in the Methodist Episcopal Church, South, was transferred from the Tennessee to the Florida Conference in 1857, and was sent to Jacksonville; in 1858-59 to Tampa; in 1860 to Fernandina. In 1861 he was appointed Sunday-school agent; but, on the breaking out of the war, he was appointed chaplain to the Second Florida Regiment, in, which capacity he labored till his death, at West Point, Va., March 3,1862.
