Theodromi (θεόδρομοι), a term applied to couriers in the early Church. It was their duty to give private notice to every member where and when the Church assemblage was to be held (Baronius, Anal. 58, n. 108). See Bingham, Christ. Antiq. bk. 8 ch. 7:§ 15.
