Syme

Syme in Greek mythology, was a nymph, daughter of Ialymus and Dotis. She was beloved of the sea god Glaucus, who carried her off to an island near Rhodes, on the coast of Caria, which received its name from her (Athenaeus, 7:296). By Neptune she bore Chtholnius, who colonized the island from Lindus.
