Smith, Seth

Smith, Seth, a minister of the Methodist Episcopal Church, was born in Bristol County, Me., Feb. 1, 1805, and was converted in Onondaga County, N.Y., June, 1829. He removed to Indiana in 1834, was licensed to preach in 1837, and joined the travelling connection in 1838. He was a member of the Southeast Indiana Conference, and labored faithfully until about a month previous to his death, Oct. 1, 1853. See Minutes of Annual Conferences, 1853, p. 290.
