Scherzer, Johann Adam

Scherzer, Johann Adam a Lutheran theologian of Germany, born at Eger, August 1, 1628, was in 1657 professor of theology at Leipsic, in 1658 professor of Hebrew, and died December 23, 1683, doctor and professor of theology. He wrote, Collegium Anti-Calvinianum (edited by J. Schmid, Leipsic, 1704): — Collegiumi Anti-Socinianum (1672): — Trifolium Orientale (containing Manductio ad Lectionem Talmudico-rabbinicam, Specimen Theologiae Judaorum Mystice, Abarbanelis Comm. in Haggaeum): — Nucleus Grammaticorum Ebraicorumn (1660).
