Powers, Grant a Congregational clergyman, was born at Hollis, N. H., May 31, 1784; was educated at Dartmouth College, class of 1810; studied theology; was minister at Haverhill in 1815-29, and at Goshen from Aug. 27,, 1829, to his death, April, 1841.
