Phagiphania

Phagiphania The name by which the Epiphany (q.v.) was sometimes called in the ancient Church; and it arose from connecting our Saviour's miracle of feeding five thousand men with the first miracle at Cana, as a manifestation of divine power to be celebrated on this day. See Riddle, Christian Antiquities; Siegel, Christl Alterthiimer.
