Pelargus, Christoph

Pelargus, Christoph a Protestant theologian of Germany, was born at Schweidnitz, Silesia, August 3, 1565. He studied at different universities, was in 1586 professor of philosophy at Frankfort, in 1589 doctor, in 1591 professor of theology, and died June 10, 1633. He wrote, Commentarii in Pentateuchum, Matthaeum, Lucam, Johannem et Acta Apostolorum: De Conciliis: Epitome Universce Theologice, seu Explicatio Quattuor Librorum Damasceni de Orthodoxa Fide: De Ascensione Christi in Cclum: Compendium Theologicum Doctrince Christianae: Josias Imago Piorum Regum ac Principum.
