Montandon, Auguste Laurent

Montandon, Auguste Laurent a French Protestant theologian, was born at Clermont-Ferrand in 1803. He studied at Geneva, was for some time pastor at Luneray, and accepted a call in 1832 to Paris as pastor adjunctus. He published Recits de l'Ancien et du Nouveau Testament, and took a great interest in the different religious organizations, especially in the work of the Bible Society. to which he rendered great services. Montandon died in 1876. (B.P.)
