Menzel, Karl Adolph

Menzel, Karl Adolph a German historian, was born at Grunberg, December 7, 1784. He studied at Halle, was in 1809 professor and in 1814 pro-rector at St. Elizabeth's, in Breslau. He died Aug. 19,1855. He is the author of, Staats- und Religionsgeschichte der Konigreiche Israel und Juda (Breslau, 1853): — Religion und Staatsidee in der vorchristlichen Zeit (edited by Wuttke, Leipsic, 1872).
