McKinley, Daniel, D.D.

a Presbyterian minister, was born at Carlisle, Pennsylvania, December 7, 1800. He graduated from Dickinson College in 1824; spent more than a year thereafter in Princeton Theological Seminary; was ordained by the presbytery of Carlisle, October 30, 1827; was pastor at Bedford, 1827-31; Carlisle, 1833-38; agent for the Board of Foreign Missions, 1838-41; pastor at Chambersburg, 1841-47; pastor of Sixth Church, Pittsburgh, 1850-52; agent for the Board of Domestic Missions, 1852-55; and died at Chambersburg, December 7 of the latter year.
