Livinus, Saint

Livinus, Saint called the apostle of Brabant, was born in Ireland, it is said of noble parents, and received his education there. He was bishop of Dublin in 656. Being actuated by religious zeal, he intrusted his diocese in Ireland to the management of its archdeacon, and went to Ghent with three of his disciples, and, for a month, offered up mass at the tomb of St. Bavo every day, and afterwards went to Esca and preached the gospel, and converted numbers.
