Leonard, Alexander S., S.T.D.

a Protestant Episcopal clergyman, was born in New York city, June 28, 1806. He graduated from Columbia College in 1825; was engaged in mercantile pursuits for twenty years; ordained deacon in 1848; assistant at St. Clement's Church, N.Y.; rector of Emmanuel Church, in the same city, from 1849 to 1865, and died there, May 17, 1878.
