Lebeuf, Jean

Lebeuf, Jean a French priest and antiquary, was born at Auxerre on March 6, 1687, and became a priest in the cathedral of his native place. Later he made an antiquarian visit through France, and in 1740 was chosen a member of the Academy of Inscriptions, for which he wrote many memoirs. He died in 1760.
