Kilwardeby, Robert a noted English prelate, flourished in the second half of the 13th century. He was educated at the universities of Oxford and Paris. In 1272 he became archbishop of Canterbury, and in 1277 was made cardinal. He died in 1279. Cardinal Kilwardeby is said to have written as many as 39 different works, but none of these were ever printed. See Iloefer, Nouv. Biog. Genesis 27:730.
