Kelso, George W

Kelso, George W., a Methodist Episcopal minister, was born in Louisa County, Va., in 1815, and emigrated while young to Tennessee. He was educated at the Nashville University, joined the Tennessee Conference in 1835, was transferred to the Virginia Conference in 1842, and died Aug. 10,1843. Kelso was a faithful and very successful minister, not brilliant, but sound and equable, and very trustworthy in all things.-Minutes of Conferences, 3:460.
