Joshah

Jo'shah (Heb. Yoshah', יוֹשָׁה, prob. establisher; Sept. Ι᾿ωσίας, v.r. Ι᾿ωσία; Vulg. Josa), son of Amaziah, and one of the chief Simeonites. the increase of whose family induced them to migrate to the valley of Gedor, whence they expelled the aboriginal Hamites (1Ch 4:34). B.C. cir. 711.
