Jewry

Jew'ry (יהוּד, Yehud', Chald., Da 5:13, last clause; "Judaea" in Ezr 5:8; elsewhere "Judah;" Ι᾿ουδαῖα, Lu 23:5; Joh 7:1; elsewhere "Judah"), the nation of the Jews, i.e. the kingdom of JUDAH, later JUDAEA. "Jewry" also occurs frequently in the A.V. of the Apocrypha (1 Esdr. 1:32; 2:4; 4:49; 5, 7, 8, 57; 6:1; 8:81; 9:3; Bel 33; 2 Macc. 10:24).
