Jahzeël

Jah'zeël (Heb. Yachtseel', יַחצאֵל, allotted by God; Sept. Α᾿σιήλ), the. first named of the sons of Naphtali (Ge 46:24). His descendants are called JAHZEELITES (Heb. Yachtseeli', יִחצאֵלַי, Sept. Α᾿σιηλί, Nu 26:48). In 1Ch 7:13, the name is written JAHZIEL (יִחצַיאֵל, Yhchtsiel', id.; Sept. Ι᾿ασιήλ). B C. 1856.
