Jacubus

Jacu'bus (Ι᾿άκουβος v. r. Ι᾿άρσουβος, Vulg. Aecubus), given in the Apocrypha (1 Esdr. 9:48) as the name of one of the Levites who supported Ezra in reading the law; evidently the AKKUB SEE AKKUB (q.v.) of the corresponding Heb. text (Ne 8:7).
