Indix Raymi

Indix Raymi in Peruvian mythology, is the principal one of the four known festivals of the sun, celebrated yearly in honor of the supreme deity in the Andes. It began when the sun was at its height, and moved towards the equatorial region. At the first ray of the sun all fell on their knees and worshipped the benevolent god. After this festival eight days were spent in unbroken pleasure.
