Hyneck, Ludwig

Hyneck, Ludwig a Lutheran theologian of Germany, was born July 4, 1795. He studied theology and philology at Leipsic, and received the degree of doctor of philosophy in 1817, on presenting his Adnotationes in Recentioris AEvi Liberos Educandi Rationem. Ins 1827 he was made licentiate of theology by the Marburg. University, for writing Quid sit quod Debeat Religioni Christiance Sexus Muliebris Imprimis Honestior Feminarum Pars. In 1856 he published Geschichte des feien adelichen Jungfrauenstiftes Fischbeck und seiner Aebtissinnen, and in 1870 he celebrated his fiftieth anniversary in the ministry, and the Marburg University honored him on that occasion with the diploma of doctor of theology. He died May 10, 1883, at Fischbeck, in the county of Schaumburg. (B.P.).
