Hothum, William De, D.D.

an Irish prelate, was born in England, but educated at Paris. In 1280 he became a Dominican friar and was twice provincial of that order in England. He was appointed to the see of Dublin, December 8, 1297; consecrated at Rome in 1298 by the pope, and died on his return, at Dijon, August 27 of the same year.
