Grammont, Francois Joseph De

Grammont, Francois Joseph de a French prelate, nephew of Antoine (1), was coadjutor of his uncle under the title of bishop of Philadelphia, and succeeded him in the see of Besancon. He reconstructed the archiepiscopacy, and gave new editions to the breviary and the ritual, also published a collection of synodal statutes, and left his fortune to the seminary.
