Gerasimus

Gerasimus a celebrated anchorite of Palestine towards the middle of the 5th century, was a native of Lydia, who embraced the views of Theodosius of Jerusalem, but was restored to the true faith by Euthymius. He founded a large laura near the Jordan, characterized by extreme austerity, and died there, March 5, A.D. 475.
