Ge'on (Γηῶν), a Grencized form (comp. Ge 2:13, Sept. Γεῶν) of the name GIHON SEE GIHON (q.v.), one of the rivers of Paradise, mentioned (Ecclus. 24:27) along with the Jordan, Euphrates, etc., in a description of wisdom ("as Geon in the time of vintage," meaning apparently the Nile at its period of annual overflow.
