Furst, Julius

Furst, Julius an eminent Hebrew scholar of Germany, was born May 12,1805, at Zerkowo, in the duchy of Posen. He studied at different universities, and after having taken his degree as doctor of philosophy, took up his abode at Leipsic, where he commenced his lectures at the university in 1839. In 1864 he was made professor, and died February 9, 1873.
