Fillet (2)

Fillet a small flat face or band in classical architecture, used to separate mouldings; in Gothic architecture, a flat band on a curved moulding, used to decorate a shaft on a larger moulding. When on the front of a large moulding, it is called its keel; on the sides, it is called a wing. In the cut, a a a are examples of fillets.
