Fesole, Congregation of

Fesole, Congregation Of an order of monks, founded about 1386 by Charles of Montegranelli, who lived among the mountains of Fesole. They were also called Mendicant Friars of St. Jerome. The order was approved by Innocent VII, and confirmed by Gregory XII and Eugenius IV. See Gardner, Faiths of the World, s.v.
