Epitrachelion

Epitrachelion (Gr. ἐπί, upon, and τράχηλος, the neck), a vestment of the Greek ecclesiastics, which, instead of being put round the neck like a scarf, is joined at the centre, and has an orifice left at its upper end that it may be passed over the head. SEE STOLE.
