Dunton, John

Dunton, John, a bookseller and miscellaneous writer, was born at Graffham, Huntingdonshire, in 1659. After being in business some twenty years as a bookseller, he failed, and then devoted himself to authorship. He died in 1733. His principal works are, The Devil's Martyrs; to which is added the High Church Martyrology (London. 1716, 8vo): Athenian Oracle, and
