Davis, Edward Le

Davis, Edward le an English engraver, was probably born in Wales, and went to France, where he learned the art of engraving. He returned to his native country and settled in London about 1670. The following are some of his plates: St. Ceciliac, with Angels; Becae Homo; The Holy Family. See Spooner, Biog. Hist. of the Fine Arts, s.v.
